Why does alloy fracture occur when using hard alloy saw blades?

Views: 0     Author: Zhuzhou Jinding Cemented Carbide Co., Ltd     Publish Time: 2024-09-03      Origin: Site

Fractures in hard alloy saw blades typically occur due to several factors:

1. Material Fatigue: Repeated cyclic stresses can cause fatigue in the saw blade material, leading to cracks and eventual fractures.

2. Impact Stresses: The repeated impact on the teeth of the blade during cutting can generate high stresses that cause the teeth to fracture and eventually lead to blade failure.

3. Abrasion and Wear: Continuous wear and abrasion from cutting hard materials can weaken the blade over time, making it more susceptible to fractures.

4. Undetected Fractures: Minor fractures in the teeth can go unnoticed and, under continued stress, propagate, causing the blade to fail prematurely.

5. Improper Use or Setup: Incorrect blade tension, improper feed rates, or inadequate lubrication can increase stress on the blade, contributing to fracture.
